We have 4 new members of the Vivid team!
Katie Hurd joined Vivid in June as our Sales Co-ordinator, working alongside Jess & Tiah in the Telesales team and supporting our UK Sales team.
The Marketing department has two new team members; Mia Stewart began her career with Vivid as our Marketing Assistant in June and is joined by new Marketing Co-ordinator Megan Walsh, who started in August.
Finally, Nathan Tomlinson joined Vivid back in March as our new Sales/Technical Consultant.

It was at IPEX during March 2014 that Vivid introduced its best-selling Matrix Laminating Systems with pneumatic pressure for the first time. The original design brief was to allow the Matrix to laminate digital print using litho lamination film, by utilising the extra pressure achieved through the upgraded pneumatics.
In 2015, we re-engineered the rollers to include variable pressure, allowing new foiling and spot UV-style effects to be achieved on the Matrix.
"The Matrix was traditionally a laminating machine," said David Smith, Vivid’s marketing communications manager. "But we can now market the Matrix as a multifunctional Digital Foiling and Laminating System."
Such has been the appetite for foiling on the Matrix, the original video produced by Vivid has (at the time of writing) had over 30,000 views on its YouTube channel since it was published at the end of 2015.
"As we continued to enhance the Matrix and introduce even more colours of foil and lamination finishes, the original video soon became outdated," continued David. "So we decided to write and film a completely new video, which didn’t really focus on the Matrix itself or act as a ‘how-to’ guide, but more to show just some of the finishing effects you can now achieve for yourself".
The brief was to show some of the most popular print finishes that were preferred by visitors at last year's Drupa. The video also needed to be under 3 minutes long and show not just foiling, but also lamination, spot UV-style print effects and overprintable foil.
"We’re really pleased with the finished video, which features our new Aqua Aura premium brand of foils," summarised David. "Hopefully the video will give viewers a little inspiration of just some of the incredible effects the Matrix can achieve in-house themselves, without any set-up charges or expensive foil dyes required."
Richard paid us a visit at The Print Show and we were overwhelmed to hear his Easymount is still going strong, after 11 years of use. Proving the Easymount is hard-working, hard-wearing and ever lasting.
