Heatherbank Print Invests in Vivid’s Razar Finishing System

Heatherbank Print Invests in Vivid’s Razar Finishing System

We’re delighted to announce that Doncaster-based Heatherbank Print has invested in a new Razar  system, further strengthening a long-standing partnership built over decades.

The new Razar system is due to be installed in the coming weeks and will add even more versatility to Heatherbank’s growing finishing capabilities.

Heatherbank’s Project Manager, Ian Kendall, highlighted both the machine’s unique functionality and the strength of the relationship with Vivid as key reasons behind the investment.

“We’ve partnered with them for so many years now that it just works, and whenever we have kit off them, we don’t have a problem.”

After reviewing alternative options on the market, the Heatherbank team concluded that the Razar stood apart thanks to its all-in-one production capabilities.

“The fact it can cut, crease, tape and spot UV in one motion, you just can’t see anything else that can do that.”

The investment continues Heatherbank’s extensive use of Vivid equipment across its production floor, with the company already operating a wide range of Vivid systems. Most recently, the business added a Vivid Nexus 2516 with CNC router, which has already helped open up new opportunities through enhanced finishing quality.

The new Razar system will support Heatherbank’s short-run digital print production, spot UV applications and packaging work, while also enabling the business to introduce new premium offerings including foil spot UV effects and triplex business cards produced entirely in-house.

“We can also spot UV over foil, so it completely changes the finish of what we can offer to customers from a packaging and a finishing point of view.”

Heatherbank has invested approximately £200,000 in new equipment over the past seven to eight months as part of a wider strategy to expand its service offering and continue delivering high-quality solutions to customers.

Alongside its Vivid equipment, the company also operates Canon digital presses and Mimaki large-format and promotional print machinery, with further investment currently underway in cylindrical print technology.

We’d like to thank the entire Heatherbank team for their continued trust in Vivid and look forward to seeing the innovative applications they produce with the Razar system.
