Tennants UK has expanded its number plate manufacturing capabilities with the installation of an additional VeloBlade Nexus digital cutting system.
The investment will help the company meet growing demand from dealership groups, increase production capacity and support faster turnaround times. It will also enable Tennants UK to manufacture more components in-house, providing greater control over quality, material costs and component availability.
The additional VeloBlade Nexus will be used to produce components for Tennants UK’s Enviro-Plate and Acrylic Plate ranges. Its digital cutting capabilities will support accurate and efficient production, helping the company increase throughput while maintaining consistent quality standards.
Enviro-Plate uses printed clear polyester film and a backing manufactured from 90% recycled ABS plastic. It provides customers with a more sustainable number plate option while meeting the quality and compliance requirements of the automotive market.
The ability to manufacture components for both product ranges allows Tennants UK to support customers with different commercial, operational and sustainability priorities.
Bringing more manufacturing in-house also gives the company greater visibility across its production process. This helps maintain consistent product quality, reduces exposure to supply-chain disruption and improves control over material purchasing and usage.
The additional VeloBlade Nexus reflects Tennants UK’s continued commitment to investing in technology that improves efficiency, flexibility and supply resilience. It places the company in a stronger position to meet current customer demand and support future growth.
The repeat investment also demonstrates how VeloBlade technology can help specialist manufacturers automate production, improve control and bring more processes in-house.
