  • Vivid fundraising for PrintIt! Schools Programme

    30 July 2015

The British Print Industry is the 5th largest in the world, worth over £17.8 billion in 2014. It employs more than 84,000 people at over 9,500 companies.

Vivid are proud to a part of this industry, but with the skills gap in the UK growing ever larger and more young people looking for alternative routes to work, the print trade is in need of an influx of new people. Print, paper and packaging remain growing industries with a lot to offer young people.

PrintIt! is a nationwide charitable campaign that has been teaching students about the print and paper industries since 2005. The aim is to bring students into the industries at an early age to educate their views and awareness of print and paper. To date, more than 140,000 students, across 2000 schools have taken part.

Last November, PrintIt! launched their PassIt! Campaign. 10 companies, including Renz, Balreed, Antalis, Duplo and Vivid were allocated their month of fundraising. Vivid have the month of August and we will be holding a Summer Barbeque to raise funds and create awareness of this brilliant campaign!

Vivid’s Marketing Communications Manager, David Smith, was a guest at the recent PrintIt! Awards held at Leicester College. “I was invited to present an award at the ceremony, which was a great honour” said David “The artwork created by the students was superb. PrintIt! is a great initiative and we are proud to be part of the PassIt! Campaign” Highlights of the 2015 PrintIt! Awards can be seen on this video.

The PrintIT! Schools Programme is managed by the registered charity Proskills UK. If you wish to donate online, you can do so via either PayPal or Givey. As a registered charity (no: 1155635) donations to PrintIT! via Proskills UK are tax deductible.
