Vivid's stand at Sign & Digital UK will feature not one but two products that have recently won awards in America.
Vivid has continued to add functionality and innovative features to the Matrix. Lamination, foiling, metallic finishes, spot UV effects, security print features and our new lens film will all be demonstrated on Stand G42.
We are pleased to announce that our new Easymount Air Wide Format Laminator has also won a Readers' Choice Top Product Award from Wide-Format & Signage magazine.
“We’re very proud to win a second award for our laminating systems in the U.S.,” said export manager Bruce Cozens. “We were presented Top Product for our Matrix OPP Laminating Systems. For the Easymount Air to now also be recognised as a Top Product is a great achievement. Two awards in just six months is incredible.”
A revolution in the wide format lamination & mounting market, the Easymount Air's patented technology uses one of the most advanced concepts ever seen in a wide format laminator.
The laminating rollers are controlled by pneumatic air pressure, allowing wide format printers and sign makers to mount and laminate with remarkable precision. Pneumatic air allows the rollers to adjust to the exact thickness and pressure required, giving faster production times.
“We’ve smashed the competition because of the ground-breaking technology within the Easymount Air,” added Bruce “The top roller 'floats' down, which means that foam and fluted boards aren’t crushed. When the rollers achieve the correct substrate thickness, they can be locked in place to keep the required gap, making board feeding faster and more accurate”.
Vivid will be showcasing both the Easymount Air and Matrix Laminating Systems on Stand G42 at Sign & Digital UK. The exhibition is the UK's premier sign making, display solutions and digital printing event. Taking place from 19th - 21st April at Birmingham's NEC, the show is free to attend. Following the triumph of Duplo’s first ‘Northern Lights’ event at The Lowry in Salford in 2015, the print finishing pioneer is aiming to match if not exceed this success when the show returns on March 8-9, this time at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
Northern Lights 2016 is a print application event aimed at businesses targeting growth through the latest technologies and innovations. Duplo will be introducing the latest breakthrough print finishing technology alongside the latest innovations from its event partners.
We will be demonstrating foiling effects on the award-winning Matrix Pneumatic Laminators and the new automated digital feeder for the Matrix Systems at this year’s Northern Lights.
Duplo UK Managing Director Peter Jolly said: “Our second event in the North is targeted at showing how customers can create added value and increased revenue through the latest applications and innovations. With our partners we will show how reliable next-generation products, service and support create integrated solutions and sustainable future success for customers.”
Visitors will have the opportunity to network and share best practice, get hands-on with the latest technologies, learn how to get the most from their investments, and gain new ideas for their businesses. Activities include operator workshops, a Proskills school visit and a Duplo Owners Club meeting at 2pm on Tuesday 8th March, followed by later opening with an open bar for a more relaxed social environment.
Doors open on both days at 10am, with the event closing at 7pm on Tuesday 8 March and 5pm on the Wednesday 9 March.
Sarah Crumpler, Duplo UK Marketing Manager, said: “Following the success of our inaugural Northern Lights event last year we’re excited to return with another show in the north this year. Northern Lights 2016 has been planned in collaboration with our customers and we’re confident that this event will deliver interest and value to all who attend.”
She added: “The event will feature ground-breaking technology and solutions from Duplo and our partners, hands-on workshops, and great networking opportunities, all delivered at another iconic location.”
Situated at Leeds Dock, close to the centre of the West Yorkshire city, the purpose-built riverside Royal Armouries Museum is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour, and one of the most important museums of its type in the world.

Easymount Air – An Innovative Product in Wide Format Lamination
A Highly Commended Product of the Year at the British Sign Awards & Nominated for the Wide-Format & Signage Top Product Award, we will be showcasing the Easymount Air to the UK print industry, the 1st time the system will have been seen at Sign & Digital UK.
Our Technical Manager Gavin Ward said: “The Easymount Air is a revolutionary product in the wide format lamination & mounting market. The patented technology uses one of the most advanced concepts ever seen in a wide format laminator. Pneumatic air pressure controls the laminating rollers, allowing you to mount and laminate with incredible accuracy and speed”.
Matrix Laminators – Voted Top Product in America
Our award-winning Matrix OPP Film Laminating System can add specialist finishing effects to print, including foiling, spot UV-style effects and holographic finishes.
Sales Director Richard Marlow said: “The Matrix doesn’t require special dies to create these new effects. It’s achievable due to the extra pressure from the pneumatic rollers. For those with a Pneumatic Matrix already in-house, being able to offer these stunning effects to customers offers huge cost savings and even a new source of revenue”.
“Sign & Digital UK is the ideal trade fair to meet both end-users and our dealers. We will be running demonstrations of our kit throughout the exhibition and visitors can gain real-time expert advice on laminating techniques” summarised Marlow.
We will be on Stand No. G42. Sign & Digital UK takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 19th – 21st April. Click Here to Register.
