At Vivid we care about our environment.  So much so, that we have committed to doing the best we can for the environment by becoming ISO 14001 registered.

In particular we are committed to the compliance with relevant environmental legalisation and to the adoption to practices and procedures that reduce the risk of environmental damage or harm.

 

 

Care about the environment

To achieve this we have undertaken to implement and maintain an Environmental 
Management System, which enables us to:

 

Control the waste streams arising from our activities including their minimisation and proper storage and disposal.

 

Monitor and where possible reduce use of natural resources including packaging materials and energy.

 

 

Seek to be efficient in our use of transport resources.

Where practicable encouragement our suppliers and subcontractors to strengthen their own environmental performance and goals.

Ensure our staff members are adequately and appropriately trained with regard to environmental matters.

Set and monitor progress towards environmental objectives and targets such that we might achieve continual improvement in our overall environmental management performance.

The WEEE Directive and RoHSWEEE symbol

 

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill. The directive was agreed on 13 February 2003, along with the related Directive on Restrictions of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS).

 

 

 


Vivid are working to comply with these new directives under the guidance of an officially registered compliance scheme.
